Does CDAL only work with Claude Code, or also with Cursor, Windsurf, Antigravity and Copilot?
It works with all of them. In Claude Code the gates are enforced physically per role through PreToolUse hooks (exit 2). In Cursor, Windsurf, Antigravity, Copilot and Codex, CDAL generates the rules (AGENTS.md, .cursor/rules) and enforces the same gates deterministically in pre-commit and CI via cdal phase and cdal verify.
Do I need TypeScript, or is JavaScript enough?
JavaScript is enough: contracts are plain .mjs files, and roles, hooks, trace and selftest work in any Node.js project. With TypeScript you get more: generated types from contracts and the block on type silencing (@ts-ignore, as any).
What happens after the 12 months of updates?
